Indigo Dyeing Workshop

6 Hour Workshop

Saturday 1st May

Share the day from 9am – 3pm for a morning of natural play with Eco Natural Dye and afternoon of Indigo Shibori Dyeing. Everything provided plus you can bring a few extras to colour too!

A big playful day in the morning starting with Foraged, Flowers, Fold in Natural Eco dyeing with bundling, hammered prints and dipping. Using foraged flowers, leaves, food waste and bark, leaves and materials to create earthy pinks, golden oranges, soft blues, sunshine yellows, light browns and smokey greys.

Then afternoon Shibori Indigo Dyeing workshop for a wonderful social and creative experience. Learn basic methods of this Japanese resist technique expanding your textile knowledge. By also using items from around your own home you can make unique patterns that you can carry on creating into the future.

The both methods shared are pure magic especially when you can learn how to set it up in your own home to revamp clothes and furnishings, or even a way to keep the kids entertained!

Parking – For the evening classes you are able to park on West St, but during the day West St is only 1 hour parking. Plenty of day parking can be found on streets off West St. There is no parking available in the lane way down the side of the shop.

Clay – Enough clay for your mugs is included in this price.

Glazes – Underglazes will be supplied. This is colour that can be painted onto your still wet pieces. We will also be clear glazing these pieces.

Firing – Firing of all your pieces is included with course costs.

Registration – Make sure to remember your login and password when you register. All future classes can be booked through that account.
